Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a treatment that focuses on assisted stretching of the muscles, joints, and connective tissue. With the client on a treatment table, the therapist will help you stabilize your body with wide elastic bands that are fitted to the table. You are gently helped into specific stretches to help facilitate relaxation and movement into your joints and body.
Fascial stretching is incredibly gentle and improves the blood flow to tired muscles, breaks up scar tissue, increases the range of motion in injured areas, helps you to recover faster and reduces soreness. There is a lot of science behind fascial stretching, including how it could improve performance, helping you run faster, lift heavier, boost your endurance, improve coordination, and increase flexibility.
